General courses

This course is for students from beginners who are learning Japanese for the first time, to advanced students who are aiming to go on to university or graduate school or find employment, and will help you acquire comprehensive Japanese language skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
By conversing in Japanese every day with classmates from all over the world, you will be able to apply and practice the knowledge you have learned in class, and you will definitely feel your improvement.

コース・カリキュラム<2年コース>

Course/Curriculum (2-year course)

*This course is for students enrolling in April (N5 level). It aims to help students acquire the Japanese language skills necessary for studying at higher educational institutions in Japan, while also deepening their understanding of Japanese culture and society, so that they can smoothly live and communicate in Japan.

*The first two months will focus on getting used to life in Japan, bridging the gap between the Japanese you learned in your home country and the Japanese actually used in Japan, and at the same time reviewing N5 grammar, vocabulary, and kanji, and acquiring the basics at N4 level.

・Beginner level 150 hours (2.5 months)

・Outline of course content:

*Learn hiragana, katakana, and basic kanji.

*Learn basic grammar and vocabulary.

*Get used to the Japanese language actually spoken in Japan.

*Learn to read and write simple sentences.

*Understand conversations you hear in everyday life.

*Write simple compositions.

*Simple descriptions of things around you.

・Beginner/Intermediate level 250 hours (3.5 months)

・Outline of course content:

*Able to converse, read and write about general topics.

*Acquire grammar at the first half of N3 level.

*Able to obtain necessary information from natural conversations.

*Able to write compositions about familiar topics.

・Teaching materials used

"Japanese language learned up to intermediate level"

・Intermediate 550 hours (8 months)

・Outline of course content:

* Practice for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test in December

* Acquire N3/N2 level grammar

* Understand sentences that express specific content about everyday topics.

* Be able to write your own thoughts and opinions logically.

* Natural conversational expressions, including honorific expressions.

・Teaching materials used

"Learn Japanese from the intermediate level"

・Intermediate/Advanced 400 hours (6 months)

・Outline of course content:

* Acquire N2/N1 level grammar

* Understand the contents of newspaper and magazine articles, commentaries, simple critiques, etc.

* Practice for the November study abroad exam

* Practice for the December Japanese Language Proficiency Test

*Use appropriate expressions according to various situations.

*Read and infer unlearned vocabulary and expressions.

*Write opinions and summaries on social issues.

・Teaching materials used

"Listen to the news, lectures, etc." "Learn more advanced Japanese expressions." "Learn Japanese through advanced themes." Others include newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, etc.
